About Lucy Anne

Turns out the hardest part of building a website is working out what photo’s of yourself to use.

Am I attracting the right people by using this picture? Do I look pretentious? Will people think I’m crazy for posing with my dog?

Quite frankly, most of the photos I have of myself either have my dog in them, or I am trying to navigate my way around some private land that I’ve ended up in on a walk. So here’s an extremely rare photo of me looking very smug and sophisticated on a trip to Capri.

I thought, what better way to find out ‘about me’ than with some FAQ’s…

If you are someone who hates reading, you can just scroll for some real-life, non-capri posed photo’s of me.

  • I wish I could sit and tell you about my years of event planning which lead me here, but I actually come from an HR background - controversial! Don’t get me wrong, I have had my fair share of planning corporate events, and I know how to throw a good party, but sadly it isn’t what I spent the first years of my career dedicating my time to.

    So, what lead me here?

Cliche, I know, but I have always had a soft spot for weddings - I blame Runaway Bride!
But seriously my love for weddings really grew when I had the opportunity to work alongside my partner as a wedding photographer. For 3 years I got to be alongside couples on the happiest day of their life; the nerves, the tears and capturing the most memorable moments of their day - it was truly beautiful and an honour to be so intimate with essentially strangers. I loved every minute of photographing, and I still dabble from time to time, but it was here that I discovered I wanted to be more involved with the couple from the get go, and not just be a stranger turning up on the day.

    Let’s wrap this up.
I love working with people (hence the initial HR route), I love organising for people and I bloody love a good wedding; and so I present to you, Wedding Plan with Lucy Anne!

I have finally found my passion, and something that I love to spend my time doing - I can proudly say that the Monday morning dread no longer exists (it’s usually a Saturday instead ;)).

  • A bit about me -

What I like - A decent roast dinner, people who smile at me in the street, Rhubarb & Ginger Gin, the seaside (or anywhere with the sound of water!), unlimited packets of crisps, cooking, going on walking adventures and spending time in front of the fire with my family.

What I love - This list is pretty short. A good sleep, a holiday (anywhere, I’m not fussy), and lastly but definitely not least - the love of my life. He doesn’t moan, never plays computer games, always does as he’s told, doesn't leave the room when I try and hit the high notes in Whitney Houston, and never talks back! Oh and he’s a golden retriever - proud crazy dog mum over here.
The other love of my life unfortunately does all of the above things, but he’s pretty cool most of the time too.

Dislikes - Being an opinionated person, it’s probably best I keep these to myself in case I shoot myself in the foot. I am however happy to eliminate anybody from my website who thinks it’s acceptable to microwave fish in an office kitchen - animals!

If you’ve actually read through all of that, and you’re still here, well - it’s probably worth you dropping me a message. Ultimately you are on a hunt for someone that you trust, to give you their all, and pull off a wedding day that you didn’t think would be possible - you’re not going to let just anyone do this!?

So pop me a message, and let’s have a chat to see if I am the one for you. If it wasn’t meant to be, that’s OK! There’s a planner out there to suit everyone, you just need to find ‘the one’.

A summary for those who like to scroll to the end - On a good day… I’m a positive, down to earth girl with a great sense of humour; a dash of straight talking, and a get sh*t done attitude. I have a cute dog and I don’t like the smell of fish. Message me for more info :)

  • Born and raised in the Essex Countryside; from quiet Great Bardfield, picturesque Finchingfield, to my now first home in the old market town of Saffron Walden. I love where I am located, and I try not to take it for granted when I am travelling the country exploring new wonderful places.

Bordering 3 counties, Essex, Cambridgeshire, Suffolk, and a stones throw from Hertfordshire, definitely has its perks. I’m lucky enough to know an awful lot about all 4 of these places, and also had the privilege of working many weddings at many venues in all 4, so I am not just familiar with one county.

I have also worked all over the UK and have a built my little black book full of recommended suppliers from everywhere I have been. So rest assured I can help you wherever it is you are decided to marry.
